The first object is a lavender scented candle. The outside container is a light purple covered with painted on lavender plants and leaves. The inside of the container is a shiny gold. The top is labeled with the scent of the candle, the company name, and the other decorations to match the sides of the container. I took this picture outside around 6;30 right during/after the sun had set. The lighting looked beautiful and really accentuated the colors on the container. This is one of my favorite scented candles and I love the decorations. The second object is a Milani lipstick in the color Teddy Bear. Its a darker mauve/purple shade. The packaging is a sleek gold color with darker gold lettering. The bottom of the container shows a sample of the color as well as listing the name of the lipstick. I took this picture later after the sun had set so the lighting was getting worse. I had to take the picture as quickly as possible before the sky would be dark. This is one of my most commonly used lipsticks. It's a great color and I think the packaging of this makeup brand is excellent. The third object is a fake, (meant to be a look-alike) oscar award. It is a bald, golden figure holding a large gold star across their chest, while standing on a black platform. This picture was taken before the sun was setting so the lighting was pretty bright. The reflectiveness of the object made it difficult but beautiful to photograph. I had to make sure the reflection was blurred or not very noticeable. The color of the sky was not completely visible in the reflection but added an interest contrast to the gold. For our swim banquet we had a red carpet themed party. These were put as the centerpieces at every table. It reminds me of a great celebration with my family, friends, and teammates. The fourth object is a Christmas tree decoration. It is covered in blue and silver glitter. I took this picture after the sun had set which left a beautiful color on the ball. This was the object I was most excited to photograph because I love the reflection the sparkles make. The shadows are a darker sparkle which makes an interesting contrast. Again this was a decoration for one of our swim banquets which was a winter wonderland theme. These were hung over the tables. The last object is a stone pig. This was a pig carved inside of another pig. My mother bought this for me from India. The pig is a light gold, ivory mix. The holes in the side of the outer pig resemble fish scale shape. I took this picture right as the sun was setting so there was beautiful lighting. I chose to capture this object because I thought the shadows of the inside of the pic would be very interesting and tricky to photograph. Overall I think the pictures came out beautifully, other than the one that were in worse lighting. Next time I plan to leave more time earlier in the afternoon to take the pictures so it is bright enough. |
