River ViewArtist Statement 1:
These photo was taken in while I was on a trip around the Netherlands, Spain, and France. I found the houses along the canals to be extremely beautiful. Each house had a unique design with interesting details. The boats parkers on the side of the canal made an interesting contrast to the reflecting water. It was hard to make sure people weren't in the photo but I was able to blur them out (mostly) in photoshop. Wide ViewArtist Statement 2:
These photos were taken in France. I loved the view of Notre Dame because of the incredible detail covering the entire building. The picture above was take at an angle from across the river. It was beautiful to see the details emphasized with the blueprint filter. I had a hard time seeing some of the details that were hidden behind the trees. Boats on the riverArtist Statement 3:
The photo above was another one taken from the canals. The boat in the water was really colorful and vibrant. I liked the contrast of the brightly colored boat against the darker hues on the building. Again this photo was hard to take because there were lots of people walking by. I got around that by editing the people out with photoshop. Three BridgesArtist Statement 4:
I loved the detail on the bridge and the building behind it. I thought the mixture of the natural look (with the river) and the man made (bridge and building) would provide an interesting contrast. This picture was hard to take because the river covered most of the photo but I was able to crop out some. I also blurred some lamp posts and people walking below deck near the bridge. House on the canalArtist Statement 5:
I took this picture because I liked the movement the windows on the building provided. They lead you down left to right on the photo. Each window has it's own unique design to it. The trees made it difficult to focus on all the details of the building. The people, bikes, and cars also got in the way, but I cropped and edited out the most I could. |
